SWARTBERG PASS/ GAMKASKLOOF

A 40 kilometer drive takes you to the Swartberg Pass, a recognized historical monument, and undoubtedly one of the most spectacular and best known mountain passes in South Africa. You can either plan a day trip taking a circular route via the Swartberg Pass, Prince Albert, Meiringspoort & De Rust or driving up to the top of the Swartberg Pass and visit Gamkaskloof (also known as ’The Hell’)

KANGO CAVES

The Kango Caves, 45 km from Kruisrivier, is described by the Outdoor Guide to Oudtshoorn as the “oldest and most famous adrenalin icon in South Africa”. If you are not claustrophobic you may want to go and explore the caves (www.cangocaves.co.za).
